Official Geocache
Please read before removing this container!
Congratulations! You found a so-called Geocache (possibly quite unintentional).
This container ist part of a worldwide game called “geocaching”. Everywhere around the world, small containers (“Geocache”, “cache”) like this are hidden which will be searched for by participants of the game (“Geocacher”, “cacher”). Detailed information can be found at this web site:
Everyone can become a Geocacher and Geocaching is completely free of cost.
Summarized briefly: This game uses the global positioning system GPS to find “treasures” hidden by other Geocachers. The web page lists Geocaches with their GPS coordinate and with these and a GPS receiver “treasure hunters” can find the Caches. Caches contain a log book where finder can leave a note that he found the cache. Even if you are not a “official Geocacher”, you are invited to log your visit :) We just ask you to observe a few notes:
- Please put this cache back tot he place where you found it. Please do not manipulate or destroy the container. The fun lays in finding of the caches – which often are placed ad beautiful locations – and it is not needed to remove the cache.
- Some caches contain small items for trade. If you see something of interest for you, feel free to take it with you. But please place something of camparable value in the cache in turn.
- Always leave the log book in the cache. If the log book is full, contact the cache owner.
- If possible, let us Geocacher know that you found the cache – visit our web site :)
If this container is unwarrantedly placed, we beg your pardon. Please let us know so we can promptly remove the cache.
